This may sound trivial but I've never removed an airbag and need to know what has to be done to remove the driver's side airbag on a 2003 Ford Ranger so I can replace the Cruise Control Switch.
Thanks,
Larry

FIXED! Don't know what exactly was wrong yet but I took another vavle fromthe boneyard and before doing anything I blew compressed air through the valve and it went through fine. Installed the valve and the brakes bled fine. Test drove and Anti Lock plus red brake light were ON. Stopped and plugged ...

Still no luck. Replaced valve with another and same thing (no pressure to rear). Checked Speed Sensor and it reads good with resistance of 1.340 OHMS (should be .08 to 1.4 to be acceptable). ABS Module is supposed to Self Test at Startup and keep the Anit Lock light on if there is a problem. The lig...

The brakes were pumped many times during the time I was trying to get fluid to the rear line(s). It was tried with the engine running and off. Nothing worked. I never saw this before and at this point have to think the valve is indeed stuck in the closed position. I'm just hoping that it is only the...

ABS / Hydraulic Brake Valve
On a 1990 Bronco II, is there a way to test the rear ABS Hydraulic valve to see if it is working? I found there is no hydraulic pressure to the rear wheels when I replaced the rear brakes and went to bleed the lines. I have fluid pressure at the master cylinder and the inlet to the valve but nothing...

We used to have an '87 B2 (until the wife flipped it and totaled the thing). Anyway that one and the current '90 B2 had CV type rear shafts. I have replaced the CV shaft on the '90 with a u-joint style from the salvage yard. Cost was $10 and time to remove it. Not that easy to find but worth looking...

You should be able to figure it by the door sticker. Vehicle weight minus the CGVW should get you close. I don't think I'd want to tow anything more than a small pop-up camper, small boat, utility trailer. Bare in mind the short and narrow wheelbase of the B2 and should a trailer start swaying your ...

Panel Repair
Has anyone used any of the new panel adhesives to put a patch pannel on a B2? I'm considering a fix for both quarter panels in front of the rear wheels using repair panel skins and possibly 3M Automix adhesive. I currently have sheet aluminum riveted over rust holes (looks better than holes). I don'...

The regulator and channel parts are seperate pieces on '90. You actually have four channels. One on each side, one in the center, and one at the base of the glass. I don't know on your year (for sure) but I would doubt there is little difference. On mine, in order to get at almost anything you neede...

Measure the driveshaft you have now, on the truck and sitting level. Make sure the shaft you get will allow the spline to travel in both directions (shorter and longer) to adjust for suspension travel. I have a 1990 with auto trans and the shaft I got came from a 1989 with a standard 5 speed. It wor...

If you find the correct size and it will not fit into the hole leading to the screw/bolt, there is a trick we used to do but it will weaken the socket for other uses. Get the right size and grind the sides thinner so it fits into the recess. I did this to get the module off my '90 B2 distributor but...

Don't know exactly but I say you need to find out for sure what's going to have to be done. You could open a can of bad worms by just hacking at the feners with a saw. That may open areas up to the elements that shouldn't be or that you don't want to be. They cost a good $$ but they do make cutout f...

Leaf Spring Swap
Ok, read the old thread on leaf spring swap and have a few questions (if anyone that "knows" can help. No guesses please. Will Explorer leaf springs fit a 1990 B2? If so, do I need to get the shackel bolts also from the doner vehicle? Will this swap fly without problems as far as drive sha...
