The trick for me was don't press down too hard so that the foam compresses against the fiberboard. Just follow the directions on the can ( use the 3M stuff these guys sell) and more or less smooth the fabric out. I got my stuff here http://www.wlsheadliners.com/main-suv-h ... s-c-4.html

With a truck of that age you should replace the old rubber ( worn out ) body mounts with new urethane mounts. Then replace the old rear leaf springs with leafs from a '91 - '94 Explorer, maybe the front coils too. THEN do your lift .........

Thanks Allen, took me 3 days of my vacation but I think it was worth it. Trying now to get the seats recovered with the original material and having a hell of a time.

Just the leafs, maybe the bolts and nuts if yours are damaged. The center bolt in the leafs will need to be flipped to fit the B2's centering hole. This is a great mod, you'll be happy. The years you'll need are '91-'94, don't get the monoleaf !!

'91 - '94 and make sure you get them out of a 4 door model. The 2 door has a single leaf " monospring ". You don't need the shackles.

Oh, OK ... I read your " blue paint " post and thought you were on a roll. I didn't mean to highjack the thread, it's just that I didn't want to start a new one about carpet. I'm looking for some advice on the different suppliers and figured someone in this forum had some words of wisdom.
