Re: 1989 Bronco II 4x4 control module plug
Man, that might be hard to find in terms of new or nos parts. Maybe a junkyard. I bet the 4x4 rangers of the same generation have the same plug. Otherwise, it’s just wires connecting to wires, so you could get whatever male & female connectors that would work and wire it up, assuming you have enough ...

Re: How much arc in OEM leaf springs while installed?
Ok, I figured out the problem. 1989 b2’s are the only year where the J spring code is an option. This spring — 929-206 is beefier, heavier, and has more resting arch. It also comes with the locating in on the top to be installed in the spring under configuration. I had to flip that to install. Now th ...

Re: Re-gearing for 33×12.50 15 tires.
In terms of easily available ratios, I’d go with 4.10. Check out the chart here for more detail. Cheers https://www.intercotire.com/sites/default/files/gear%20up%20chart.jpg “ The chart is divided into three categories. The rpm highlighted in black are optimum for the tire size and ratio combination. ...

Re: New driveshafts after 4" lift?
I’d go to the ranger station website and look at some of their tech articles as well as the b2 forum. Lots of archived info on lifting. Drive shaft angle, pitman arm length, front axle angle, etc. are all addressed.
Sounds fun, good luck!

SOLVED-ish : How much arc in OEM leaf springs while installed?
Hi, Replaced my leaf springs with a new pair of dorman springs, but now they’re laying completely flat. No upward flex. If anything, this spring is bent slightly down before it connects to the rear shackle. I’m wanting to verify that these new springs are junk. Can you give me an idea of how much arc ...

Re: Replacing 89 b2 fuel lines
Bronco Graveyard has a few sort-of universal couplers for nylon lines. I assume you just have to figure out the diameter and thread pitch of the different connectors and lines, and then cobble something together yourself. The graveyard does have an OEM metal fuel line for the first GEN b2 but not ...

Re: Fuel Line connected to Pressure regulator
Yeah I’d imagine you could do exactly what you’re suggesting. Alternatively, you could try your luck at a junk yard. You can look for rangers with the same engine and possibly just get the whole hose + fitting assembly. Good luck!

Re: Rear Driveshaft
I believe the slip or extra bit goes forward, towards the t-case.

If that makes sense…

Re: Leaking coolant
I don’t think the timing gear area should have coolant in it— just oil? Maybe there’s a head leaking coolant into the oil as well. Not sure, but either way you’ll have to pull all of that off the front of the engine. Perhaps look into the idea of coolant contamination in the timing cover and see what ...

Re: How to identify manual transmission
It’s likely a Mitsubishi FM145. But these vehicles are so damn old you never know what previous owners have done. Check out the link for a list of common B2 transmissions. You can then do an image search or whatever and match up the trans to what you see in your rig. Cheers https://www.broncocorral.c ...

Are you pulling codes for this? It could be so many different things, you've got to narrow it down somehow.

1989 BII Dealer or factory AC? Help identify please.
Hello folks, I just picked up a stock 1989 bronco II. One of the many things I wanna do to it is reinstall AC under the hood. It’s partially there already. I believe everything from the firewall into the cab is still still there. So I want to add a new compressor, lines, condenser, and whatever else ...
