Re: 89 B2 Power window motor swap
I guess I should have saved some of the motors from all of those Ex's I scrapped :)

Most likely the motor assembly, can usually be fixed easily, and like was mentioned if you unbolt the motor you can dial it out of 4x4.

Re: 16" wheels
Newer Ranger, Explorers or SportTrac. I used wheels from maybe a 2000 SportTrac on my BII, just had to cut a hole in the center cap for my manual lock-out hubs.

You can't "order" one anywhere. Any top for a chop will be a custom piece.

Re: 87 bronco hell!!
In your first post you said you had no fuel pressure. Is this a guess or did you actually put a gauge on and measure it?
Dave's idea to squirt some gas (or ether) in the throttle body to see if it starts should tell you if it's a no fuel problem.

Re: b2 seat swap
The split bench mounts on bucket seat rails. I've got a newer split bench in my '84 Ranger, it's mounted to modified '91 Explorer bucket rails made to fit the old Ranger floor.
But anyway, I'm pretty sure the Ranger split bench seats will bolt on to the BII rails.

Re: b2 seat swap
Did you try bolting the '96 seats to the BII tracks?tekatlarge wrote:I bought what was supposed to be a 96 Ranger split front seat with console. It was NOT a direct bolt in to my 88 B II. The floor mounts we at different angles. I never put it in just kept the stockers.

Re: 87 bronco hell!!
Are the fuel pumps running? Do you have a bad pump issue or electrical issue getting 12V to the pump/s?

I think Escort and Mustang from the same era will also bolt to your seat brackets.

Re: 31's on stock rear end and transfer case
The 7.5 rear and the 1350 should both be fine with a stock engine and 31" tires. The weakest link is probably the d28 front and you're already upgrading that. I assume you know the Explorer front axle needs to be the same gear ration as your rear axle.

Re: tech help
Yes the d35 is a bolt in upgrade for your '88. You can also get a d35 from a 1st generation Explorer or a 2nd/3rd gen Ranger.

Re: Dana 35 Axle Swap Complete / Now ? About wheel spacer...
I'm guessing you're running wider than stock wheels on the front?
Swap in an 8.8 rear and it'll get it more in sync with the wider front.

Re: loud clicking when the wheels turn semi-hard to either s
On a 20 year old truck
dirt, wear, water, etc.
Given that on most of these rbv's the hubs come of when you pull the wheel since the factory retainers are long gone, and the o-ring seal is either damaged or missing, it's real easy to get undesirable stuff in the hubs.
