So hopefully it's just the hubs and not the axles themselves? Why does it only make the noise in reverse, and is it something i can ignore for a little while if I'm not using four wheel drive?

but why would it be the axles if there is no force being put on them, it makes the noise in 2 wheel drive. Could it be the transfercase?

front axles but do i have anything to worry about? its a 90 model 2.9 with automatic 281,345 miles.

Ok truck runs good transmission slips a little when changing gears, but my problem is when I reverse i get a noise that sounds like a rollercoaster going up to the top. Im almost positive its the

Is there a differance between an explorer 4.0 and a thunderbird 4.0 as far as mounts or oil pan? I found a cheap 93 t-bird with a supercharged 4.0 and want to put it in

New to the forums

Hello people I just bought a 1990 bII with 218,000 miles on it and the engine still runs good. It could use some tlc on the a4ld trany. Hope to get some good ideas and info from this forum. Thanks and talk to ya soon.
