Makes this swap sound even better! Now I can ditch the sway bar when I do it. Another question: (I know, getting to be a PITA) Stock V6 with auto tranny, highway driving to and from work and weekend trail riding/mud hole thrashing, what gears would you all recommend? 4.56 or 4.88? I am going to go w...

With the solid axle swap and no sway bars, how much a PITA is it to drive on the highway??

Ok, that's the kinda info I was looking for. Now I know what parts I need to pull off the donor frame that I was given.

Another question: Which sway bar (if any) do I run? The BII one or the EB one?? My BII will mostly be a daily driver (about 100 miles per day) will weekend trail playing.

solid axle swap questions

I've looked through a lot of the threads about this topic on here, but not all of them. I still have a few questions though and I'm hoping you all can help me. I have a 1988 BII. I was given a rear 9" housing by a friend of mine. It has a third member and axles, but no brakes, so I thought it w...

I like the look man! Could you post a close up of the cage meeting the windshield frame? Are they tyed together or does the cage go down just inside of it to the floor? I'm really wanting to chop my top off, but trying to decide between full chop or back-half chop.

Well, after seeing the posted pics, I found an EB grille here in town that's in ok shape. It's rough but will be usable. I'm thinking of just ditching the hood latch and going with hood pins. Sounds like that will solve some fitment issues right off the bat. Are there any mods or recesses that I hav...

Well, I threw my 2" bodylift in and the 31s on. Here is what speeds I was getting according to my GPS. Speedo Reading GPS speed 15 15 20 24.5 30 36 55 66 So using the little table you posted above, I looks like I need to reduce my tooth count by 1. Does this pass the logic check with you??

I understand what you are saying, but I was just thinking that welding on some hangers and bolting on some shackles would be easier than trying to find an axle that will work with the radius arms and then getting all that worked out. What solid axle would you recommend if I were going to keep my coi...

Could you post the link to where on TRS you found this. I just looked in the Tech Library and didn't see it anywhere.

speedo gear

I have a 1988 BII with a V6 and auto tranny. It has 4.10 gears already and I'm getting ready to put some 31" AT tires under it. Can someone please give me the part number of the speedo gear I need? I looked on TRS but couldn't make heads or tails as far as which gear I need. Any help would be g...
