Re: 4.0 swap questions

Actually, you can still use the wiring harness from the 2.9 you just have to change it up. I have seen it done, so I know it works. But thanks anyways.

Re: 4.0 swap questions

i dont know of any links but i do know that it is a bolt in swap and you can use your same motor mounts and wiring harness.
i did a 2.8 to 4.0 swap and it was a little different. not as easy as it will be for you.
also your fuel lines should hook right up.

Re: My B2

its a auto transmission and a electric transfercase. i really wish i had kept my standerd transfercase just because its reliable but i have not had any problems with the push button 4x4. i swaped the dash out of the ranger too. i need to get a pick of it so you can see. its nice.

are you asking about swaping explorer motor, running gear, and dash into your bronco?
i did all that to my bronco but it was from a 93 ranger... i love how mine turned out.

Re: need help wit 4.0

why dont you just keep the bronco you have now and put a 4.0 in it.
if you use all the wires from the 4.0 you will be fine.
i did the 2.8 to 4.0 swap with my bronco and it went well. just need to drill one motor mount and get a fuel pump and lines from a 2.9 bronco2

Re: 4.0 in ranger help plz

yes it will go in.
your going to want all the doners wires tho. and computer.
a body lift is not needed. it will give you a little more room with the transmission and the fire wall tho
