Re: bronco II runs bad after off roading
Yeah, I think our ignition systems are getting wet. Try silicone grease instead, load up all the electrical connections with it. I am gonna try that after I get my 4x4 and on board air systems working.

Re: Someone with an EVTM (shop manual) please help
Well I done found an electrical schematic after some thoughtfully worded google searching, and I verified that the ground and continuous power connections to the shift module are working, but no switched power is available at the connector. I jumpered power to the switched power input from the ...

Someone with an EVTM (shop manual) please help

Re: On The Fly Four Wheel Drive
Well, the clicking you hear in the dash is the relays in the electronic 4x4 controller. Mine clicks 3 or 4, sometimes more times whenever I shift, it's normal. As far as taking a while to go into 4x4, well yeah the transfer case begins the shift immediately, and as soon as you get the 4x4 light it ...

Re: 4x4 FUSE Question HELP
Oh man, without that fuse your truck will blow up next time you start it!! I happened on mine...lol JUST KIDDIN but in all seriousness the auto hubs can't engage unless the transfer case shifts into 4 Hi or Low first. The hubs are not electrically connected in any way to anything, they are ...

Re: Just bought a 88 Bronco II and have a few questions
Lol, I have always run aftermarket gauges in my toys and I am used to them goin all over the place. I like it, lets me know what's really going on as opposed to the factory gauges. I fixed the factory temp gauge and took the truck out to Redneck Yacht Club this past weekend, went through some fairly ...

Re: Just bought a 88 Bronco II and have a few questions
Thank you for the help drofman (and anyone else that chimes in)...it will run better with the 192* t-stat? You mean like gas mileage wise or overall? I am just worried about thermal shock to the heads if it's running with the 192* stat and I drop the truck down into a mudhole and get the heads wet ...

Just bought a 88 Bronco II and have a few questions
Howdy all, I have a few questions about my new truck. It's an 88 Bronco 2, 2.9L, auto trans, pushbutton 4WD (conversion to rotary 4x4 switch on the console is underway). I hope to eventually modify it and give it some more power (a 4.0 swap seems popular, or possibly a 302 swap) but for now I need ...
