could be that the valve seals were not seated properly. thats where i'd start looking.

yep have the same problem on my86 b2
I ground the crack and welded it, added a piece of flat sotck over it and welded it in place. still flexes when you close the windows.

Colorado springs CO. Just purchased a 3" body lift and new anti rattle seals for the 86. Can’t wait to lift it a bit more. came with 30x9.5 15 tires and I'm in the middle of a tailgate conversion. (LMC truck seals and body lift.)

did the tail bob today. had to resize the picture to get it uploaded

I was not able to get back to work on it. Reviewed the other thread. This gent cut an 1" out of the height of his. I yanked it all off to keep it from getting rained on. I have to work this Sunday so I figure to take it to work and use the side grinder and welder. Ordered a 3 " body lift tonight for ...

Sorry I forgot to say where didn’t I. At the controller. Under the hood, on the driver side of the vacuum canister. as seen in the picture.

by firing system do you mean checking the plugs and wires ( have the plugs been changed lately? or the wires?) could be out of the firing order.
