Re: Have a '89 Bronco II with alot of problems, please help!

Get the codes run on it, if you can't find somewhere to do it, buy a code reader. You can get them for the OBD 1 for about $30 at most parts stores, believe me, it will save you a lot in the end. You B2 has about a dozen sensors, half of them could be creating your problem. When you change anything ...

Try here, it is a nationwide search, but you can refine it to your area.

Re: 87 b2 wiring problems????????????

You need to start with a diagnostic, read the codes with both computers if you still have the original. Do the indicator lights and/or the gauges on the dash move when you turn the key to the run position? Do you hear the pump whine when you turn the key on?\ Check the fusable links around the start...

I know the 91 Explorers had them, but don't remember if they were on the 90 B2's.

Re: drive shaft

You haven't bought a new CV joint drive shaft yet, they are about the same price as the u-joint style. There are many advantages to installing a u-joint drive shaft, the most important being the ease of replaceing the joints when one breaks or starts to go bad. the main reason for the u-joint shaft ...

Re: 2.8 - 2.9 swap

Most anything that you put in the 85 will need the wiring harness and the ECM, plus the fuel system that will match it together. The exception to that, would be a pre electronic 302 with transmission/transfer case if you are 4 wheel drive. The V8 swap will come with it's own problems, and can escala...

Re: 4.0 swap A4LD issue

This may help: http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/pdf_documents/A4LD_manual.pdf You stated "3 wire connector", the A4LD in my back yard has a 5 wires going into the transmission, that lead back to 2 plugs, the gray has 5 prongs, the black has 4 prongs. This transmission is from a...

Re: Chevy 63" leaf springs in a bronco II

Maybe this is what you are referring to: http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/64-inch_leaf.html I have my doubts you can do this on a stock B2 because of the body, but it might be possible if you use a shorter shackle or do a body lift. You will also notice this fellow has had the springs re...

Josh: First, you should have started a new thread, a lot of folks don't go back and check the older threads, even when they show a new posting. Now, all you need to do, call your local auto parts store and tell them what you have, most are open till 6 or later. Don't let the salesman sell you a CV j...

Re: 96 explorer 4x4 parts swap into a 90 BII

Front axle is up to you, I like my D35 TTB but others don't like them. Check out some of the other B2 forums, there are many articles about swapping suspension parts, a lot of time and money saving things others have done. To the best of my knowledge, the rear springs are interchangeable threw 99 an...

Re: 96 explorer 4x4 parts swap into a 90 BII

I read a post on another forum last summer about a fellow who swapped a 96-? into a B2. I don't remember all the particulars, but he spent a lot of time/money doing the swap. There were some issues with the coil to torsion bar other than the obvious component swap. Best suggestion would be to use a ...
