Re: In S Missouri

I have been thinking and reading about doing an explorer swap. Anyone know about that? It would be a v6 upgrade. I could google it but what axles do them have? Probably best to google it. Am I too assume you are in southern missouri? I ask because I am also and I don't see too many other B2s. I rec...

Re: Model years with rear access window?

I believe that cut out you're talking about this for the bracket for the spare tire carrier. Mine doesn't have any cut outs and didn't come with a spare tire carrier

Re: door dinger?

or remove it and wire you radio in sequence with your lights, that way the radio will stay on until you shut off your headlights once the key is off. only annoying thing is if you are driving and turn on/off your lights the radio will cut out for a sec. i hated that buzzer but woke up too many morn...

Re: Model years with rear access window?

I have the wing windows on my 88 but not the opening hatch window. I was a JY last weekend and Almost grabbed a hatch with the window. I remember the B2 it was on did not have the wing windows. I really want one but was wondering, can you leave it open while driving? I am concerned that with all the...

Re: What did you do with your Bronco II today?

If the sprayer fitting is cheap enough you could pick one up and put it in boiling water fro a while to see if softens up or not, but if tis a thicker plastic that would make it smaller id and maybe reduce the water flow. Maybe a metal fitting would be better? Yeah that would have been the smart th...

Re: What did you do with your Bronco II today?

I had an emergency repair last night. Im on the highway when I notice a giant plume of steam behind me. I have a tank type block heater and the plastic t fitting on the heater hose gave out. I patched the heater hose with a deep well socket (1/2 in I think) and jammed the fat end of a 3/8 extension ...

Re: Dual batt and alt options?

I hope you don't plan on running all that stuff at the same time lol. I don't know how much you like your AC but there's a pretty neat thread on converting your AC compressor into an air compressor for onboard air. You can even wire up a pressure switch on the tank to cycle the AC clutch on and off ...

Re: Bronco 2 body lift

there are different kinds of kits, some come with taller spacers and longer bolts, some come with taller body mounts. The first kind reuses the old mounts. I would go with the second kind unless the body mounts have been replaced recently. They are probably due anyway.

Re: Not your normal power loss from AC

Hey Drofman, He said his dad did it long ago when he (The father and previous owner owned the rig.. Sounds like a misguide way to get more air in the engine. Yeah, I have no doubt at 97 OAT the under hood temp is probably about a billion degrees. Try running an engine like that and it is a wonder i...

Re: another tfi question

So I filled up with gas and it only took 11.5 gallons. The gauge was reading just below half so I guess its correct. At 270 miles that means I'm getting around 23 mpg. This is 50/50 highway streets with the AC on most of the time. Compared to a couple weeks ago with the same driving and no AC I was ...

Re: Not your normal power loss from AC

So I blocked off the holes and Problem gone. It was 97 here yesterday and I drove about 10 miles on the highway with the AC cranked. I'm working on a derivative of Occam's Razor, Dave's Razor : It's not the simplest solution but the one you immediately disregarded as "That can't possibly be it&...
