I have an 1986 bronco 2 4wd. I picked it up pretty cheap. The only problem is it only drives in reverse. The trannys an automatic, and when I put it into 'drive' the engine just revs. Is this a transmission problem? Could it be the cable connecting the shifter to the tranny? Or what?

I think you should definately get another B2 and use that one for parts. Or just swap out the motor. I'm not sure what the seal or gasket around the valve is suppose to look like but I'm sure mine is goofed up.
Its a 1986 2.9 L fuel injected. Could anyone post a pic of theirs for me please.
I ran all the old gas, and filled it with premium unleaded with a bottle of Lucas injector cleaner.

I just bought a 1986 bronco II, I took it to the emissions, trying to register it. The lady I got the truck from said it had be sitting for three to four months. The loaded test passed way below, the idle test however was 2 -3 timesthe limit. Where do I begin?
