Re: Fuel system Q's

Thankd drofman but that is not exactly what I need. I don't think I explained it correctly. Both NAPA and O'Reily auto have incorrect catalogs when it come to this. They list either the filter element you suggested or an inline/single in /single out. Mine has two size lines in and out. One 3/8"...

Fuel system Q's

Trying to replace the frame mounted/canister type fuel filter on my sons 88 BII. No one has the parts or can seem to find this filter. The only parts store shows an in line filter in their book which is wrong. I have found the part on Amazon.com but my question is can I use two inline filters in pla...

Re: How in the Heck.....

My apologies. It's an 88. Need to put a new pump in the tank. Can't get the lines off the top of the tank. Not sure how to release the clips when I can't see them or even reach them.

How in the Heck.....

do you get the fuel lines off the fuel tank? I need to drop the tank and put in a new fuel pump. Tried lowering the tank but it just pinches the lines and i still can't reach up in there or really see to get them off. Any tips appreciated.

Re: 88 BII code 96 Fuel Pump Monitoring Circuit ??

Here is a funny one. I went to O'Reiley's to price a sending unit. $122.95 for the sending unit. Guess how much a complete new pump was....$124.99 :rolleyes2:

88 BII code 96 Fuel Pump Monitoring Circuit ??

My son just got his first BII. It's an 88 with a 2.9. I'm trying to trouble shoot a code 96 "Fuel Pump Monitoring Cirucit no Voltage". The fuel guage does not work either. My question is that could this trouble code be related to the fuel gauge not working. My searches so far have resulted...
