TFI module take it off and get it tested at the auto parts store might only show bad when its hot though more than likely thats the culprit

alright apparently i have the fm146 as i have the shifter style pictured below and i have the 12 bolt pan on the bottom. if i find say a 4cylinder tranny i can use it as long as i swap to the v6 bell housing correct?

I believe its the tranny that is toast

so i bought my Bii the owner said it was the transfer case. i no longer think the tcase is bad. symptoms. when running with the clutch depressed there is no noise. if you let out the clutch then its start to make a slight rattling noise. with the tcase in neutral i can row through the gears it makes...

im not sure if the electrical fittings are the same, but if your gonna use 5.0 injectors id look for 5.0 explorer injectors they have a 4 hole pintle cap for better fuel atomization. im running explorer injectors in place of my stock 5.0 stang injectors

thanks shes my babie :) doing her right it was a bare shell when i got her a few years ago. now it driveable but im lacking a few things like exhaust but the open headers sure sound great

you a free stater ranger dave? i love the idea behind their movement well i went out today put the tcase in neutral and ran through the gears so i guess that eliminates the tranny since i didnt have any bad noises :P ive got a buddy who is supposed to be coming over hes gonna crawl underneath for me...
