I got my 89 in 2002 from my wife's uncle and I got it FREE! He got it brand spankin new in 89, so I am only the second owner. The good thing for me is I know the history and how well it has been taken care of. I will never get rid of this until it absolutely cannot go anymore, which should be a long...

Hey man congrats on the BII purchase. I hang out at TRS as well, saw Michael's truck was for sale, and thought your name looked familiar from over there. I can imagine he kept that thing in pretty good shape. I have a BII as well, still in stock form and have been over here on this board off and on ...

There are no current plans. But we all know that can change in the blink of an eye. I hear ya on that one. When I bought my house few years ago, there was NOTHING behind it, just a huge field that was overgrown with brush and small trees. I came home from my deployment to find a road being built, a...

I am gonna have to agree on the TFI as well, especially considering that when you let it sit, it cools down and then starts up again. You can get a new one for like $30-$40 bucks, but be warned there is a special tool to get it off the side of the distributor. You might as well spend the 4 or 5 buck...

Well nothing special, she drives a 99 Taurus. She is right it does get better mileage than both of my trucks (I drive 50 miles to work one way, she works from home, and with gas prices now thats a concern) but the fun factor is not there, LOL. That is our road trip, kid hauling mobile. But she certa...

My BII will be back on the road on Monday - so much for using the fact that its not running as leverage to build it while I daily drive the ranger. She is even suggesting that I daily drive her car to work while she takes my Bronco  I don't think so but it makes more sense because it will save ...

Scored another truck tonight

Well guys I didn't get another Bronco II but I did get a very nice used 4x4 extended cab Ranger, its an 89 and will share the driveway with my 89 BII. The only dilemma now is which one do I want to spend the money on mods? I think the wife wants to keep the BII stock and let me have the truck for my...

Mainly largemouth bass, catfish, and here in TN I go for rainbow and brown trout in the tailwaters below several of the TVA Dams. A few summers ago I had the chance to go to Alaska for salmon, now that was a memory of a lifetime. Looks like that is something you get to do on a regular basis there, M...

Hey Dbrown - I live about 50 miles south of Nashville and it wasn't too bad here. I heard you guys had it much worse up there. We had no problems getting around. I was frustrated when I heard storms were coming though - cuz the BII is a champ in snow but I can't drive mine til I get it fixed. Should...

Well I was in Afghanistan and not Iraq. Everyone seems to ask about Iraq - so I have no info for you if that is what you were looking for. As far as Afghanistan goes - I worked detainee operations, dealt with suspected or known enemy combatants/terrorists that were caught/captured. The stuff that ha...
