Greed and economics are two words that equal the same thing. Greed is the vice...economics is the means of feeding that vice I don't think there's really much that either Bush OR Kerry could do to prevent foreign outsourcing, short of slapping import duties on everything, but with too many import ...

So why out source? Why move jobs to other North American company's? Its called economics. If it costs you $10 to make a part in the US, $7 to make it in Mexico (including freight), or $5.75 to make it in China (including freight), then who are you going to get to make it for you? (anyone remember ...

I'm still around, but I've been busy. I had to move back in February (after almost 9 years of parts-collecting!), then I had to move again at the end of September (ON MY FRIGGIN' BIRTHBAY!!!), and now I'm moving AGAIN in 2 weeks. The last two moves were/will be done by myself, with a 3/4 ton pickup ...

Excellent choice of donor. Off the top of my head, the only issues likely to develop are: gastank location (EFI tank needed...86-90 BII should work), rear spring perch location (I think an Explorer flip kit would work), possibly need to shorten the front driveshaft an inch, and maybe a few wiring ...

Nope. I've heard of someone doing a custom 2.9 intake with a carb, but it was just that: CUSTOM Oh, and Ford did much better with their TFI/EEC-IV ignition on the EFI engines than the butcher-job they used on the 2.8 Ranger/BII... I've owned both cars and trucks with the 2.8 and my Ranger has a 2.9 ...

Blue...Calm down dude. Sometimes things get crossed, and interprited the wrong way. My comment to ya was mostly just for the entertainment, and a slight poke at ya over how some of your posts at TRS came across. If you want to see me UN-calm, check out a couple of my recent posts at BlueOvalNews ...

But I agree with the choptop mostly beacuse I want to chop mine really bad.... 1 custom soft top: Maybe $500 for something REALLY nice. Cage or rollbar: another few hundred or so (depending on who who know and what equipment you have access to) 5" angle grinder and a few zip-cut discs: Maybe $50 if ...
