I would also keep the fuel pump in mind. If all the easy stuff doesn't work to keep fuel out of your oil a bad fuel pump will let fuel leak into the oil.

I made a set like that. First I made a set that had slots front to rear for the stud and dowel so I could adjust the engine's position, then I marked where in the slot it was and lifted the motor up took off the plates and used them as templates to make one like what you have pictured. They are actu...

I am using the stock shifter on my C6, I just played with the linkage. The shifter on the tranny had to move in the opposite direction as the stock tranny to go from park to drive so to fix that there is a bar with 2 tabs that mounts from the frame to tranny and has one bar connected to the shifter ...

Here's a link to the weld on wedges from James Duff:

I used these to set up F-150 radius arms on a F-250 D44 that was originally leaf sprung.

A lot of Jeep guys are scrapping their D44's in favor of 8.8s since they are the same bolt pattern and much stronger. I went with a D60 8-lug full floater with a Trak-Lok diff in it, and I did a disc conversion on it too. I would recommend the 8.8 if you are staying somewhat stock and a 9 inch if yo...

I went the same route as EBSteve with an Edelbrock intake and carb on top of a 88 roller 5.0 motor. FI get's better milage generally, but is more expensive and harder to set up.

I am using fulwidth axles. The leaf springs from a 88-99 1/2 ton chevy fit in out trucks nicely with the mounts for them moved and they give good lift and flex. I kept the stock shock/coil buckets but will most likely be switching to air shocks when I get home and get rid of both the coil and shock....

I did a C6 and NP205, I made my own crossmember for it that is plenty strong but the NP205 also has a side mount on it to help with the weight. The NP208 is quite a bit too wide, and would take some creative frame mods. I think there is an chain drive BW T-case in some mid 80s trucks that is slightl...

I was going to do the adapter route but found it to be a lot cheaper to swap in a C6-NP205 combo. You lose less power through the C-4 though and it is plenty strong. If you can find a C5 I would do the C4-C5 hybrid bolted to your stock T-case, but if not I would look for a C4 with a Dana 20 or NP205...

The Price is around $1800-$1900 but you are getting a lot more than a suspension lift. This is one of their stage 3 lifts which when compared to their smaller stage 3 lifts ($1670 for the 3 inch) isn't that much more. The lift comes with everything - progressive rate coils, new lift leafs, 6 new sho...

I think that coils are easier, have some advantages over leafs, and personally used them. But I have to disagree about them giving more flex. I have seen alot of pics of leafs with mad flex, but as Nobody said flexy leafs give crazy driveshaft angles and axle wrap. Here one exaple of flexy front and...

Gunbunny the point of mating a C4 and C5 is so you can use your stock t-case and driveshafts. If you wanted a Dana 20 T-case you would need to use the C4 output and adapter from a classic bronco that came with a D20.

I used a generic Summit Brand one and it fit in there great, just had to make my own mounts for it. He was talking about 1st gen explorer Dbrown. I think mine is 3 or 4 core but I don't remember right now.
