Yo!
How 'bout that! Nothing like good news in c-c-cold weather...I'll be making phone calls for sure!
Merci, friend.

16 in rims on 1986 BII ???
Yo! Greetings from chilly Northern Québec. 1986 BII in it's second winter with me, not a single problem. I did have to feed it some gasline antifreeze at -32C last week. Was coughing. A neighbour just gave me 4 X 215-70-16 winter tires, barely used. If I could find 16 in rims that fit the BII, I ...

Re: oil overflow from dipstick tube?
Yo!
It WAS the PCV valve. Drove 20 miles on highway, little rag knotted at top of dipstick tube stayed bone dry !
Thanks again!

tire wear
Yo! I drive an '86 4WD BII, 5sp/2.9L. Winter tires are mandatory here in Québec as of Dec 15. My present ones are a bit thin. I have 2 Lee Snowtrakkers about half worn. Would it be dangerous for the drive train to combine them with 2 new ones because of diameter difference?
Merci!

Yo! Now I was able to sign on. The felt trick is neat. One retirement gift I made myself was a cobbler's closing inventory, machines and all. Boy can I sew belts, haha Went to village tonight with one tiny cloth just knotted around stick . 6 miles total. Not a drop. So monday it'll be testing pcv ...

Re: oil overflow from dipstick tube?
Yo! That's fast! I'll test that valve and check the air filter. Hopefully, I won't have to proceed any further. However, would a compression test show maybe one cyl way lower than the others? It sure is peppy, though. Ah well, time will tell....... Time to stay real close to the wood stove. Many ...

oil overflow from dipstick tube?
1986 Bronco II, 2.9 gasoline engine. Runs very vrey well, but driver's side of motor covered in motor oil. I suspect it comes from top of dipstick tube. Removed and reinstalled dipstick tube. Ok no rust holes. Dipstick itself covered with oil all the way up. Not sure if this is normal. Could a bad ...
