i was going to start on my doubler soon. so i was gathering parts and i came across a 1356 case for free. is there any reason a 1350/1356 doubler wouldnt/shouldnt work? my bii has a 4.5 sus lift and a 3in body lift. so clearance shouldnt be too much of an issue should it? just trying to weigh out th...

thanks guys, yeah i had checked most of that. coil looked like a culprit.

but the pin on the dizzy shaft had sheared itself so the gear was spinning freely when it wanted to...

hey man, if your going to lift it 13in... i would just rip out the drivetrain you have now... and get rid of it... go to the JY and grab a set of one tons and a motor. then build a ladder style lift and have leafpacks made for your lift... these trucks are top heavy enough as it is. and if your thin...

8.8 swap is really simple, just measure everything correctly and weld it all up nice. dont burn through the axle tube. keep the metal cool and take your time. swap the perches, your gonna need the shock mounts off of your 7.5 axle and weld them on accordingly. it is an easy swap. but take your time,...

i lasted a good while on some 33x12.5x15's. maby 13 months.

my dana28 is still holding up. but i shot the ring gear through the diff cover. so i got the 8.8
and the motor is plenty for it

im in texas and i have 4in of snow on my hood? yeah... it hasent snowed this often in one winter for 14 years.

its gonna keep commin on down, possibly untill sunday. lookin at 8in by noon.

thanks Dave. i put them back on this morning, drove it around awhile and it felt REALY mushy in the frint suspension. drove it to the shop and put it on the lift to find out that i had actually cracked the tb arm in half! so now its back to the drawing boards. the stock dana 28 is going back in this...
