1979f-150 drivetrane in 88BII

I've got a '79 f-150 that is real bad ass with 12.5" suspension lift. I want to put the 351M engine c6 d44 9inch in the 88bronco I have and use it just as a mud truck. I want to show my friends up in a bronco 2. Have any of ya'll heard of a 351m in a bronco 2? Thanks. http://i75.photobucket.com...

Re: Help fix my gas guage

The metering float sprung a leak and took on fuel which causes it to sink to the bottom of the fuel tank. Ford sells the new float u need.

1986 timing full advance at idle, then retards as accelerate

My bronco has the problem where at idle the timing is at almost 40 degrees. Then when I give it gas, the timing retards!!! It is at 15 degrees initial timing but when I plug the timing advance plug in, the timing jumps to maximum advance! 35+ degrees. The truck runs badly in the midrange and its obv...

Broncos 1986 and 1988 4x4

Here is an update on my Bronco restoration... The engine in the '86 had new heads on a worn .018" block, I had to take out the engine from the '88 which ended up being a virgin .005" worn. Perfect for a re-build.... So after polishing the crank, hone the bores, wash, paint, freeze and oil ...

You may have a cracked head. It's very common on the 2.8,2.9,3.0, and 4.0.

I was thinking in getting this kit: http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-937 ... s_1984.htm
Its a 4" lift and has extended radius arms.... What do ya'll think? Is it worth it? I daily drive on dirt roads.

:finger: http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i283/carbednotch/battleship.jpg Here is my 88 bronco. From the factory was a 2WD but a friend converted it to 4x4 and you would never have guessed it was ever just a 2WD truck... anyway I got it for $500 after it had been rolled over 3 times. The truck ran ...
