yes I have an 88 B2 with misub and yea at 122000 5th went out of mine and i had to get a machine shop to make me one they told me that they had done alot of the gears for other ppl

were at in NC in I'm the mountains and it ain't hard to rebuild just getting the right parts

yes the heater core is the problem and my 88 B2 blowed one last week and autozone.com gives u step by step and pics. and the thermostat is easy to also a repair guide is on autozone may i suggest u buy a gallon of antifreeze when u get the other parts

my 88 did that then i put a tail pipe on it and it stopped. But mine was rusted off behind the cat

yes there is a recall on the 2.9 for the module and how was your B2 actin up before the heat sinks?

no its not the air filter. i have changed mine when i first bought my B2 and it still done it

Hay your not the only one with that problem my 88 BII with the 2.9 also does the same thing. It runs fine until the motor get to normal operating temp. With mine i can push the clutch in and it will only tach 4000 RPMs. I also think its a timming problem but it looks like you tried all my solutions.
