Okay, I had this problem, and went through a few switches before it finally got tracked down. First, replace that headlight switch. The easiest way to do it is to take the gauge pod out, once that is out, it is very easily accessable. You don't have to take the pod completely out, just remove the bo...

you'd have to look and see. You might want to switch clutch lines from the master down and keep the slave from the 86 in the 86 transmission It should bolt up, but check that the input shafts are the same length. I am pretty sure they are (have seen TK4s and TK5s which came with 2.8s swapped onto a ...

You might get some 2 ton expoy and try to fill the crack in it with that stuff, or if the mount busted off, epoxy the mount back on. That should work since the rear gate is fiberglass. Mine is cracked, but not badly. If it breaks again, just get a new one. Or epoxy it back together again and build a...

All the transfer cases used on BIIs and Rangers (and even explorers) have the same bolt pattern, and will mount up to any tranny in a BII or Ranger. Unless the 2wd 5 speed is from a BII, it will not fit, or convert. If it was from a BII, it would be okay, the 2wds just had dummy cases, the rangers h...

Yes it will work. Being a shortblock or longblock has nothing to do with fitment. This refers to what is included in the sale. Shortblock means that you get the block and rotating assembly (crank, rods, and pistons already installed), longblock means that you get the block, rotating assembly, heads,...

I've towed a 1989 Oldsmobile Delta 88 and a 1986 Pontiac fiero with mine, both on car dollies. No problems. The fiero was a bit scary, its RWD, and one of the CV shafts bound up at 55 mph gettin on the highway, and the fawker started to fishtail. It was a little scary, but I just got off the highway...

Cool, thanks. Can anyone give me any info about leaf spring swaps. I heard that swapping in F150 main leafs will give some lift. How much lift could I get and how much prep work is involved in swapping them? My passenger rear is sagging a bit and I need to do something about it. I know i can get som...

Got my 31s today. Lemans 31x10.5s on stock 15x5.5 steel wheels. No mounting trouble and the tires set just fine. For a grand total of $75 for a set of 5 ($50 purchase, 25 mounting fee). I still need to hack the fenders, but no real need for regearing. You can see where I used a sharpie to mark where...

Well, I got the tires mounted, $25 at walmart to take off the Heep rims and put them on my truck's rims ($5 a tire to dismount and mount, everywhere else wanted 5 to dis and 5 to remount, so it woulda been $50 anywhere else). The 31x10.5s fit just right on my 15x5.5 rims, no problems. I do need to h...

Oklahoma Bronco II
Here is my 1988 Bronco II XLT. Mitsu FM146 5speed, e-shift transfer case. Sittin on 235/75/15s, but I just picked up a set of 31x10.5s today that I am going to put on it, and probably hack the front fenders a little. It has cold air and very little rust, but is loud as all hell with no exhaust syste...
