im located in southern CA. well to answer everyones questions on why i would want to convert to 2wd is i want to make it pre-runner style. and for what ever reason 4wd dosent strike me as ideal. but then i was driving my city truck around burning time and i spotted a 4X4 ranger all pre-runnered out ...

2wd conversion

id like to convert my 88 4wd bronco to 2wd.. what all is entailed in the process. ive never even seen a bII that was 2wd but i wasnt looking so yea. a big question i have is with the transfer case and trani.. whats the difference. what am i gonna be picking up at the junk yard to make this all work....

actually the T-birds and cougars dont have the HO. they have a watered down 155hp turd lol.. smaller intake mani, Tb, less compression, smaller injectors. etc..

31's will fit under stock bronco 2 suspension if you have not lost much height due to sag. but if its for a weekend trail toy he may be taking off the sway bars and then he will be rubbing in the back. i had 31's with no sway bars and didnt rub with a 3'' lift... went to 33's and rubbed on the rear...

yea mine does this aswell... i just give it the old "rev the hell out of it till it shuts up ford trick" lol.. just kidding but yea nothing big. cruise it till it blows motors are dirt cheap these days.

you have to use the 16 point sockets i think they are... its the ones with alot of smaller teeth inside as apposed to your standard socket. then the spline gear on the transfercase side will slide right out

well i unfourtunatly am not willing to pay 500 bucks for leafs.. what about those leafs differ from stockers on other vehicles other then the obvious leaf count... i pride myself on making it myself for way less when ever i can... so what do u say to me goin and buying a couple select sets and combi...

ok so the lift ratio on the shackles is 2/1 thats good to know.. and why do you reccomend the new axle?
