Chevy 63" leaf springs in a bronco II

anybody make it work before? i need more travel but don't have the money to link it yet. It looks like the front main eye would hit the body mount with our frames. http://www.therangerstation.com/Maga...vy_springs.htm want to do what was done above to the ranger. but i don't think that'll work with ...

Budget b2 build up

Buddy and I decided to get something together as a joint venture to keep total cost down on the individual and split wheeling time out on the trail. Picked this 84 up last year as it sits below for 400 bucks green stickered. Put some new fluids in it, a muffler and a new ignition key lock cylinder. ...

Re: sas swapped in and now drive shaft is about to hit exahust

It also looks like you need to cut your crossmember up a little. I put the eb 30 under mine and there was no way i was going to clear the cross member at full compression.
Although your b2 is pretty clean so i'm sure you got it all dialed in.

Re: sas swapped in and now drive shaft is about to hit exahust

It may be the angle but that doesn't look like plenty of room. It looks like you've already hit it with the ds and it looks like you will at compression. Your driveshaft looks to be about as wide mine. I need to just hurry up and get these square shafts in and call it good.

sas swapped in and now drive shaft is about to hit exahust

Can i see some picks of what you guys did to your exauhst to make room for this swap? I think my front shaft is not stock as it seems fatter and it bolts right in with this eb dana 30 sas and i netted about 6"s of lift with the eb 2.5" lift coils. There is basically no room for the exaust ...

I have the wrong chilton and i don't have time to go to the auto store, i'm trying to get this thing tuned tonight so i can get it running properly. Can somebody please give me a link to a write up on how to properly tune the 2150 carb from an 84 b2 with the 2.8l manual tranny? Thanks to all for any...

Re: best radius arm brac. & tbar length w/ eb Straight axle swap

ok so i take it it bolted up then. I went and got all the steel today for my square driveshafts, picked up a track bar mount from ruff stuff as there a couple miles away and should have it all buttoned up next weekend. I'll post some pics of everything once complete.

Re: best radius arm brac. & tbar length w/ eb Straight axle swap

Thats a clean looking b2 dave. I like the idea of saving ground clearance but don't like the idea of hindering travel. Its a give and take i guess. But your radius arm angle looks good still at what has to be around 5-6" of lift...am i right? Can you post a pic of your steering? Were you able t...

Re: best radius arm brac. & tbar length w/ eb Straight axle swap

Well those certainly would be the best brackets. I should have established that this is a strict budget build and i'm not willing to spend that much as the majority of my offroading budget goes to the jeepspeed build.

best radius arm brac. & tbar length w/ eb Straight axle swap

I called the dealer and lmc truck, they discontinued the 78-79 f-150 radius arm brackets that the dude used in the wright up from the home page. What are the best brackets to use with this swap? I'm using stock Early bronco radius arms with stock d-30 front axle btw and will end up with 6.5" of...

The dana 30 axle is from a 1970 EB. I'll also be throwing in a small bearing 9" at the same time.

To those with Early Bronco dana 30's up front

How many of yous have done it? Will the strength suffice just fine when combined with our punny powerplants? I'm getting one in two weeks that is absolutley flawless with 4:10's and it has been rebuilt (including the drum brakes), it comes with the eb radius arms, steering, springs, track bar and br...

correct, change the mounting point. Fairly straight foward, look in the tech section at the ranger station of you get confused. Theres a wright up there.

Re: what should i do???

It all depends on what you plan to wheel if you want to wheel your DD on moderate trail then my advice would be to upgrade to exploder axels for security purposes. If you plan on mild trails then you should be fine. In all retrospect I have wheeled the hell out of my stock 84 axels/drivetrain. In th...
