Re: The wifes rig.
I cut down a receiver hitch and welded it between the front frame rails, flush to the bottom of the winch plate. This will be the extraction point for the front. So after cutting some more 2x2 to close in the front bumper, I decided to pull out my "KINK-MASTER 24,000" and kink up a front g...

Re: The wifes rig.
Well it's been a while since an update, so here goes. While I haven't had her out on the trail or road as of yet, I have been playing around in the yard trying to find a spot that will actually flex out the suspension so I can measure for shocks all around. Sold the 44 and 9" I rebuilt last win...

Re: bronco died
Pretty vague on the details/particulars of your rig. Year, engine, modified/stock, does it get driven every day? These type details will help. I'll throw a few pointers out for ya anyways. Basically you need 3 things to make the engine run; fuel, air and spark. Buy a starter, it will make trouble sh...

Re: My new project
Sweet! I'm love it when guys take different approaches to projects instead of following the masses, great tech there man. So I guess you need to pull the tcase off to change that U-joint when the need arrizes hey? I wonder if any one could make you a one piece shaft by sending them the spud shaft yo...

Re: My new project
So your hookin a manual trans behind an auto trans? Sweet! Post away buddy! In the endless search for more gearing I am very interested in this one. I have heard of guys hooking 2 manuals together but not an auto in the mix. So would you need to throw the auto in neutral/park to be able to shift the...

Re: make ttb a solid axle??
Do this search on the Pirate board. A guy on there has done a few like this. Kinda looks like a gnarly looking diff too. I believe he used the d50 ttb tho, but all the work would be the same. It's certainly not cost effective from what I under stand, and a lot of work to get it right. I say Go for i...

Re: Need some tech advice plz
WOW! An Atlas would be sweet, 3.5:1 low would be great, but is way out of my price range. :( If I come across a 4wd C4 I will certainly grab it. Even if I can't use it now, it would be very handy at some point I'm sure. Unfortunately I'm in North-western :canada: , from Texas would be some pretty st...

Need some tech advice plz
Since I am not able to get out there and wrench, (work related injury) I have to settle for surfing the net and gathering all the info I can for the up-coming engine and drive train swap in the Bronky. This swap isn't going to be any time soon so I have tons of time to research and gather parts. I t...

Re: The wifes rig.
Oh really? Too cool!
Yeah it just made sence to move them to the grill after I removed the tin piece that orrigionally held the signals in place. I have had a few compliments on the relocation.
Thanks!

Re: The wifes rig.
Here's what I have been up to lately. Project Full width axle swap with a slight vehicle make-over. I picked up a 76 F100 HP D44, completely rebuilt it, added 4.88's and a spool. Built the front suspension in a panhard/wristed Rad arm w/Johnny Joints type set-up, and sat her down on some 07 2dr Wran...

Re: Fuel guage reads full always
Right on!!! Thanks for the responce PHROX, much appreciated. So with "your" gauge compatibility issues would reversing the wires have worked?? ie. pos. to neg. and neg. to pos.??? Just currious.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Re: Fuel guage reads full always
OK, So here's few details about my rig I hope will help narrow down the trouble shooting for you guys. So it has a brand new (as of 2 weekends ago) fuel tank, the sender I was using originally was the BII stock one. I figured it was a ground problem at first and after adding a separate ground wire t...

Re: The wifes rig.
LOL, not really, I try to play nice with the Bronco, as it is the wifes rig after all, lol. I don't go on anywhere near as hard core runs with it as I have done with the other wheeler, my Rover.

Re: The new guy
Thanks man. I don't have any pics of a "Cruiser", but I do have pics of my Land Rover I mentioned, lol. I know they're not Ford pics but there is a ford part or 2 in there, lol, I used an Early Bronc radius arm for my rear anti-wrap bar as well as a Ford Probe 2 speed electric cooling fan ...
