Not sure what TTB and 205 mean...? Thanks for the advice. Would I do better to just get an automatic 4x4 f series?

I believe the engine compartment will be to small for the old straight 6 4.9 l 300.

How come I can't use the clutch that comes out of the f150. I was figuring on fabricating new body mounts, chopping what I had to and totally using everything from the f150 with the exception of lifts and engine perfs.

I haven't welded since high school. I am enrolling in the local tech school for some welding coarses and collision repair courses.

So, was it easier? I just figured since I am not well versed on the tranny and drive train mechanics that I could at least be able to retro fit the body. The gearing and all is too complicated for me to start with. What were the biggest issues you had?

By the way... Did I mention I was new to this? Don't joke on me too bad. I just bought a new II that's in great shape and I'm excited about getting a project going.
