Re: Ever done an inline six swap, will it fit?

Alright i figured out the 250 will not bolt up to the stock 5-speed so i'm planning on putting the old c4 tranny that came out of the mav in with the 250, does anyone know if the stock transfercase will bolt up to a c4?

Re: Trailer woes...

when you replaced the fuel pump did you replaced just the electric pump or the whole plastic assembly. my 90 5-speed would do the same thing, i took the plastic piece in the tank apart and put a new pump in the old assembly, after 2 months i replaced the whole assembly and fixed the truck.

Re: 84 BII Electrical nightmare need help

Using a test light, just start from the battery and find out where you lose power in the circuit. Check for power at the ignition switch, check all the fuses. and look for any burned or damaged wires, a good place to start is around the fuse box.

Re: How much lift do you run?

All i have done to my 1990 5-speed bronco II is 2" blocks in back and two of the biggest screw in spring spreaders in each front spring. I'm running 30x9.5 all terrains one the stock rims with only one problem, when the rear suspension bottomed out, the body cut the side of one of the tires, bu...

Ever done an inline six swap, will it fit?

Hey I've got an old 250 inline six that came out of my '70 maverick, ran great with loads of low end torque, has anyone ever tried to put one of these in BII, do you think it could work? also would the bellhousing be the same so i could keep the stock transmission, t-case, drive-shafts,etc. 07-11-07...

Re: 1990 BII Hard to rev up and cuts out while driving

Alright I finally got the truck running again. It turned out that the plastic assembly that the fuel pump sits in inside the tank was bad, it was letting the fuel go straight back into the tank somehow. anyway the truck is running great, thanks to everyone that posted.

The air filter is brand new, But i have tried running it with the filter cover off,
no change. I'm about ready to try a different engine, maybe a 5.0!!!

Re: 1990 BII Hard to rev up and cuts out while driving

When I checked the timing marks, the dots lined up perfectly. I have used a couple different methods of checking the spark and its a strong blue spark. I rechecked my fuel pressure again and its now staying around 22psi at idle, but the gauge flutters allot. I have just replaced the pump when the pr...

Re: '89 BII 2.9 lifter-tick at cold startup.

I too am a big fan of Lucas treatments, but "mechanic in a can" never lasts forever. As far as the lifter noise, it would most likely run fine with that forever, till something else gives up anyway.
